Sabotage

My maiden voyage into the uncharted waters of acting and directing.

A leap of faith where instinct guides my lens, diving headfirst into the unknown, wielding a single Sony camera, chasing a vision I barely grasp.

I called my friend and said, “I need to talk.”

His reply was swift, unwavering: “Say no more my bro, pull up.”

No questions, no probing… no judgment!

I confessed my ambition to capture this raw moment on film, admitting I’d never ventured here before.

“That’s calm,” he said,
His quiet confidence steadying my resolve.

We sat in the car for hours at midnight…

Rehearsing lines under the dim glow of streetlights of South London.

Adjusting angles with the precision of instinct, not experience.

My friend, never wavered, never a complaint, never a smirk at my novice efforts. His patience was my canvas.

I know no storyboards, no formal techniques. I lean on my gut, my eye scanning the world for the perfect frame, each shot a pulse of intuition.

This is my afterhours odyssey, my latenight love letter to storytelling.

If my story is to be told, who better to wield the pen than me?

This journey is dedicated to Mrs. Bryan (RIP), my North Star.

My English and Media teacher at Kingsdale School… she ignited my passion for film and writing.
I never got the chance to tell her how much she meant to me.

One of her assignments… to dissect the film North by Northwest.

And when I almost lost my life in an near fatal car accident on my way to school, forcing me to miss a whole year leading up to my GCSE exams. All I did was watch Alfred’s films.

The infamous Hitchcock’s masterful interplay of shots, silence, and dialogue taught me how cinema speaks to the soul.

She taught me that every frame holds a feeling, every story a truth.

I’ll never forget 🙏

I did go back in time though… 13 A*- C’s cof cof lol

This was one of my early edits…

Having followed his career, bought all his books and witnessing the success of tv shows like power, BMF, Ghost and now the tv studios in Shreveport.

Story goes..

One sleepless night, I got in the car and went on an aimless drive & somehow ended up in Canary Wharf aka BIG RICH TOWN

The incredible sight of the mega yachts left me in Ewe… I’ve seen them on tv and film but they look surreal in real life docked in Canary Wharf.

So I ditched the car and went for a walk.

I didn’t own any camera gear during this time, nor did I have any intentions to film anything… all I had was my phone.

So I took a few clips here and there got back in the car to go home then BOOM!

That’s when the idea hit me…
